Dr. Ramesh received his medical training at Kilpauk Medical College in Madras, India. He completed an internal medicine residency at University Hospital of South Manchester and a fellowship at Queens Park Hospital, both in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Ramesh is a fellow of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Royal College of Physicians. He is a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology and the UK’s General Medical Council.
Research has played a role throughout Dr. Ramesh’s career. He has been a principal investigator or co-investigator in more than 45 studies. His work has appeared in peer-reviewed publications, and he has contributed chapters to gastroenterology and endoscopy textbooks.
Dr. Ramesh served as a senior lecturer at the University of Liverpool and as a consulting gastroenterologist and advanced endoscopist at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University hospitals.
