Bio
Dr. Joe Eid is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with the Orlando Health Women's Institute Center for Maternal Fetal Medicine. In addition to his dedication to providing the best care for high-risk mothers and babies, he has a special interest in critical care obstetrics, prenatal fetal diagnosis and cardiac diseases, diabetes management and hypertensive disorders during pregnancy. His expertise includes:

Dr. Eid believes in approaching patients with empathy, respect and sensitivity to their individual circumstances while providing expert and evidence-based care. Dr. Eid’s Training
Dr. Eid received a bachelor's degree in biology with honors and his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he served as administrative chief resident in his final year. Dr. Eid completed a fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

Dr. Eid is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His professional memberships include the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, American Medical Association and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Eid is dedicated to medical education and research to improve patient care. He serves as an author and reviewer for peer-reviewed journals, including Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Journal of Perinatology and American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology MFM, and has contributed to a multitude of articles and book chapters. He also has presented his research at national conferences and has received multiple awards, including for excellence in teaching and research.
Outside of work, Dr. Eid enjoys outdoor activities, tennis, traveling and volunteering. He speaks English, French and Arabic.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
