Bio
Dr. John Bocinsky is a board-certified primary care sports medicine physician with Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. He provides nonsurgical orthopedic care for adult and pediatric patients, and his expertise includes:
- Management of sports injuries and return-to-play planning
- Ultrasound-guided joint and MSK injections
- Platelet-rich plasma
- Diagnostic MSK ultrasound
- Sports-related concussions
- Fracture management
- Chronic conditions such as arthritis, tendinitis and joint pain
- Health and exercise recommendations
Dr. Bocinsky works with a multi-disciplinary team of orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, athletic trainers and physicians to care for patients of all activity levels.
Dr. Bocinsky’s Training
Dr. Bocinsky earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering at the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne and received his medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He completed a family medicine residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia, where he served as chief resident his final year, and a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Orlando Health.
About Dr. Bocinsky
Dr. Bocinsky is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine with additional certification in sports medicine. His professional memberships include the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine and American Academy of Family Physicians.
During his training and education, Dr. Bocinsky served as a team physician for many high school, collegiate and professional organizations, including the Orlando City and Orlando Pride soccer teams, Orlando Ballet, Arnold Palmer Invitational, University of Central Florida and Eastern Florida State College.
Dr. Bocinsky was born and raised in Brevard County, Florida, and remains engaged and committed to the community. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, soccer, golf, pickleball and water sports.
