Dr. John Cappleman is a board-certified internal medicine physician with Orlando Health Physician Associates. He has cared for patients in Orange County since opening a private practice in his hometown of Winter Garden in 1987.
Dr. Cappleman provides care to adult patients and his expertise includes:
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses and diseases
- Managing preventive care
- Caring for multiple simultaneous conditions
- Educating patients about their conditions and treatment
He also is board-certified in geriatric medicine, skilled in treating older adults.
Dr. Cappleman believes patients should be involved in medical decision-making and gets great satisfaction in helping them navigate the complex world of modern medicine.
Dr. Cappleman’s Training
He earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa and completed his residency in internal medicine at Medical College of Georgia Hospitals and Clinics in Augusta.

Dr. Cappleman has served on the Orlando Health Board of Directors and as chief of staff at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and is double board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Cappleman enjoys serving his community through leadership positions with his church and other local organizations.
