Bio
Dr. Jonathan Yawman is an orthopedic surgeon with Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. His specialties include:
- Complex pelvic and acetabular surgery
- Open fracture management
- Surgical management of complex polytraumatized patients
- Periarticular fracture management
- Nonunion and malunion fracture surgery
Dr. Yawman believes in restoring function and quality of life to patients by providing timely, evidence-based surgical care based on clear communication and shared decision-making.
Dr. Yawman’s Training
Dr. Yawman earned a bachelor’s degree in biological engineering at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He received his medical degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Yawman completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Orlando Health, where he was recognized for excellence in leadership and named orthopedic resident of the year. His training continued with an orthopedic trauma fellowship with Emory University Orthopedics at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Dr. Yawman has delivered numerous presentations on topics related to orthopedic surgery, and his research has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Outside of work, he enjoys surfing, diving, camping, hiking, snowboarding, traveling, competing in triathlons and playing the guitar.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
