Jorge Uribe, MD, is a cardiologist with Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute. He specializes in general and invasive cardiology and is board certified in internal medicine, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Uribe performs advanced, invasive procedures of the heart to identify and treat conditions such as coronary heart disease, congenital heart defects and more.
Dr. Uribe earned his medical degree from Universidad Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora Del Rosario, Medicine School and completed his internship at Universidad de Antioquia Facultad de Medicina, both in Colombia. He then participated in the internal medicine programs at Orlando Health and Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. These were followed by a cardiology fellowship at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was recognized as fellow of the year.
His professional memberships include the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, and Pan-American Medical Association of Central Florida. Dr. Uribe has published in peer-reviewed medical journals and is fluent in English and Spanish.
