Juan Pablo Arnoletti, MD, is a board-certified surgical oncologist with the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. He specializes in treating cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, which is comprised of the liver, pancreas, bile ducts and stomach, and has a particular interest in soft tissue sarcoma, spleen disorders and adrenal tumors.
As a student in Montevideo, Uruguay, Dr. Arnoletti earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Crandon Institute and medical degree from the University of the Republic Medical School. He began his postdoctoral studies in Philadelphia as a research fellow in the department of surgery at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and MCP-Hahnemann University. He remained at MCP-Hahnemann for his residency in general surgery and then went onto Fox Chase Cancer Center, also in Philadelphia, for a fellowship in surgical oncology.
Dr. Arnoletti is certified by the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of many professional organizations, including the Society of Surgical Oncology; Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract; American Society of Clinical Oncology; Association for Academic Surgery; American Association for Cancer Research; American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association; and Society of University Surgeons.
Dr. Arnoletti has held leadership and academic roles throughout his career, most recently as a professor of surgery at the University of Central Florida College Medicine and Florida State University School of Medicine in Tallahassee. He also has been recognized as one of Orlando Magazine’s Best Doctors in America every year since 2012.
