Dr. K. Arsalaan Ahmed is a board-certified interventional radiologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Radiology. He uses diagnostic imaging to guide minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat conditions that once required open surgery. Dr. Ahmed’s experience includes:
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- Ultrasounds
- Computerized tomography (CT or CAT scan)
- X-rays
He also is board-certified in diagnostic radiology. He is an advocate for Type 1 diabetes and his interests also include peripheral arterial disease, superficial and deep venous thromboembolic disease, dialysis circuit interventions and reproductive vascular procedures.
Dr. Ahmed’s Training
Dr. Ahmed received his bachelor’s in biochemistry from New York University, where he graduated magna cum laude. He earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles and completed his residency in radiology at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. Dr. Ahmed performed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Weill Cornell New York Presbyterian Medical Center.

He is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology.
Outside of work, Dr. Ahmed enjoys mountain biking, Ultimate Frisbee and watching the New England Patriots football team. He is fluent in English, Spanish, Urdu and Arabic.
