Kacey Brown is a certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) with the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute, specializing in general cardiology. Her experience includes:
- Providing holistic care for patients with a wide range of cardiovascular diagnoses
- Performing comprehensive physical examinations
- Ordering preventive and diagnostic testing
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with the cardiology and hospitalist teams
Kacey believes medical care should be a collaborative process that involves the patient, family, their healthcare providers and other medical professionals.
Kacey’s Training
Kacey graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in nursing from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She earned her Master of Science in nursing (MSN), family nurse practitioner track, from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
About Kacey
She spent five years as a heart failure and transplant nurse before becoming a nurse practitioner, which helped her develop skills in empathy, communication, critical thinking and time management.
Kacey is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and as a progressive care certified nurse by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. She is licensed as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in Florida.
Outside of work, Kacey enjoys traveling, going to the beach and theme parks, spending time with her golden retriever, and watching Kansas City Chiefs football.
