Bio
Karen Jones is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) with Orlando Health Medical Group FHV Health. She has provided care in Central Florida for more than two decades. Her specialty is internal medicine, with expertise including:
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic disease
- Managing preventive care
- Educating patients about their conditions and treatments
- Performing physical exams
- Ordering and interpreting lab and diagnostic tests
Karen’s Training
Karen earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She received her Master of Science in nursing (MSN), advanced practice registered nurse track, from the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Karen is certified as a nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensed as an APRN by the Florida Department of Health.
Her professional memberships include the Florida Nurses Association, Central Florida Advanced Nursing Practice Council and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
She has served on the clinical faculty at several schools including the University of Florida, University of Central Florida in Orlando, University of South Florida in Tampa, University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, and Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, working with medical students and nurse practitioner graduate students.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
