Bio
Dr. Katherine Wojnowich is a board-certified sports medicine physician with the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. She helps injured patients return to activity and provides comprehensive injury prevention programs to make patients feel their best. Her expertise includes:

Dr. Wojnowich’s Training
Dr. Wojnowich earned a bachelor’s degree in classical studies at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, graduating magna cum laude. She was a Fulbright scholar, a prestigious program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Dr. Wojnowich received her medical degree from Icahn Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and completed her family medicine residency and sports medicine fellowship at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg.
About Dr. Wojnowhich
Dr. Wojnowich is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and holds a certificate of additional qualification in sports medicine. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and her professional memberships include the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine, American Association of Family Physicians and Florida Association of Family Physicians.
Dr. Wojnowich serves as medical director of Eckerd College’s student health services and athletics department and St. Petersburg College athletic department, and she is program director of the sports medicine fellowship program.
Dr. Wojnowich is on the faculty of the family medicine residency program and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Sports Medicine Fellowship. She also serves as a physician for several area teams, including the Tampa Bay Rowdies and St. Petersburg FC.
