Bio
Kellie Herrington is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) with the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. She assists in orthopedic surgeries including:
- Hand, wrist and elbow surgery
- Total shoulder replacements
- Reconstructive shoulder surgery
- Rotator cuff repair
- Carpal and cubital tunnel release
- Microvascular surgery
- Tendon and nerve repair
- Wrist ligamentous reconstruction
- Joint arthroplasty of fingers, wrist and elbow
- Orthopedic trauma and fracture treatment
- Knee arthroscopy procedures
- Knee cartilage restoration surgery
Kellie helps to educate patients on orthopedic conditions, treatment options and preventive measures. She also provides post-operative care, casting and splinting, joint injections for pain relief and inflammation reduction in arthritic joints and gel knee injection.
Kellie has cared for trauma and surgical patients in Central Florida since 2013, and she strives to empower patients to take part in their decision-making to help achieve the best outcomes.
Kellie’s Training
Kellie received a bachelor's degree in nursing and her Master of Science in nursing (MSN) on the family nurse practitioner track from Chamberlain University in Addison, Illinois.
About Kellie
Kellie is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is licensed as an autonomous APRN and registered nurse in Florida. Her professional memberships include the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and American Nurses Association.
Outside of work, Kellie enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and being outdoors.
