Bio
Dr. Kim Styrvoky is a board-certified interventional pulmonologist with the Orlando Health Cancer Institute, where she serves as associate director of Interventional Pulmonology and leads the institute’s IP research program. Her expertise includes the use of robotic-assisted bronchoscopy and other minimally invasive diagnostic techniques for benign and malignant conditions of the airways, lungs, thorax and pleura. Dr. Styrvoky’s specialties include:

- Mediastinal lymphadenopathy
- Tracheal and bronchial stenosis
- Airway cancer
- Lung cancer screening
- Pleural effusions
Before joining Orlando Health, she served in a variety of healthcare roles in Texas including director of bronchoscopy, medical director of a lung diagnostics clinic and medical director of interventional pulmonology.
She encourages patients to ask questions so they can understand their diagnoses and treatments.
Dr. Styrvoky’s Training
Dr. Styrvoky graduated summa cum laude in honors studies with bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry and history from Texas Tech University in Lubbock before earning her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where she also completed her fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine and advanced training in interventional pulmonology.
About Dr. Styrvoky
Dr. Styrvoky is a diplomate of the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology with additional board certifications in internal medicine, critical care medicine and pulmonary disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
She is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and American Thoracic Society. Her professional memberships include the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology, American Thoracic Society and Women in Interventional Pulmonology.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Styrvoky is a sought-after lecturer at medical conferences, an author of numerous peer-reviewed articles and a reviewer for medical publications.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
