Bio
Dr. Kristy Kazemfar is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with the Orlando Health Women’s Institute Center for Gynecology. She specializes in minimally invasive surgery, including robotics, and in-office gynecology. Her expertise includes:
- Routine gynecologic care
- Abnormal uterine bleeding
- Fibroids
- Endometriosis
- Vulvar skin disorders
- Vaginal infections
- Polycystic ovary syndrome
- Hormone replacement therapy
- Menopause/perimenopause
Dr. Kazemfar is dedicated to going above and beyond to identify the root cause of her patients' health issues so she can create personalized treatment plans that promote lasting relief. She believes her personal experience with postpartum depression and perimenopause have deepened her understanding of women’s health, allowing her to offer compassionate, empathetic care.
Dr. Kazemfar’s Training
Dr. Kazemfar earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of South Florida in Tampa and received her osteopathic medicine degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina, where she served as chief resident. She is certified in Da Vinci robotic surgery and delivers babies at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies.

Dr. Kazemfar is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her professional memberships include the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and American Osteopathic Association.
Her research has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Outside of work, Dr. Kazemfar enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, fitness, real estate, traveling and surfing.
