Bio
Kristy Losapio is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) at the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. She treats adults with orthopedic conditions of the hip, knee and shoulder and provides surgical care such as arthroscopy of the shoulder and knee as well as joint replacement of the shoulder, hip and knee.
Her expertise also includes:
- Developing treatment plans
- Patient education and advocacy
- Prevention and treatment of osteoporosis
- General orthopedic care
With more than 25 years of experience, Kristy strives to ensure patients feel heard, valued and supported throughout their healthcare experience. She emphasizes a holistic approach that includes nutrition, physical activity and mental well-being to promote musculoskeletal health.
Kristy’s Training
Kristy earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Florida in Gainesville and received her Master of Science in nursing (MSN) on the adult care practitioner track from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
About Kristy
She is licensed as an APRN in Florida, and her professional memberships include the National Osteoporosis Foundation and Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Kristy also is skilled in aesthetic and skincare procedures, oncology nursing, supportive care, infection control and hospital epidemiology.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her partner and their blended family of five children and two Maine Coon cats. She also likes traveling, reading, hiking, swimming and Formula One races.
