Bio
Laura Navia, PhD, is a pediatric psychologist with Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. She provides psychological care for pediatric patients experiencing psychiatric or behavioral difficulties.
She is experienced in assessing and treating children and adolescents with a range of medical and psychological conditions. Her specialties include:

Dr. Navia's Training
Dr. Navia completed her graduate training at the University of Florida (UF), where she earned a PhD from the APA accredited School Psychology program and a specialization in Pediatric Psychology. During her graduate training, she completed a Clinical Psychology Internship in the Department of Psychiatry at the UF College of Medicine where she received specialty training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Dr. Navia completed a Postdoctoral Psychology Fellowship at the UF College of Medicine where she was trained by leading experts and became a certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) therapist. Dr. Navia has provided psychological services to children and adolescents in outpatient psychology clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals and outpatient pediatric specialty clinics. Dr. Navia’s holistic approach to therapy incorporates evidence-based treatments in a manner that is collaborative and compassionate.

Dr. Navia's professional memberships include the American Psychological Association and the Society of Pediatric Psychology. Originally from Colombia, she is fluent in both English and Spanish.
