Bio
Lauren Barnwell is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) with the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute, and her specialties include:
- Trauma conditions
- Acute hand and upper extremities
- Hand surgery
- Micro surgery
- Soft tissue and vascular reconstruction
- Corticosteroid injections
- Cosmetic and reconstructive surgery
She believes in treating the whole patient as well as knowing that what may seem routine to a provider is typically not routine for the patient.
Lauren’s Training
Lauren received her bachelor's degree in health sciences from the University of Central Florida in Orlando and earned her master's degree in physician assistant medicine from North Greenville University's PA Medicine Program in Greer, South Carolina.
About Lauren
Lauren is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed as a PA by the Florida Department of Health.
She was the founding vice president of the Health Awareness and Prevention Society at UCF, the largest student health organization on campus.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband and their Bernese mountain dog. She also likes skiing, traveling and trying new restaurants.

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
