Bio
Lauren Baldwin is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) with the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute, where she helps care for cardiology and electrophysiology patients. Her experience includes:
- Diagnosing medical problems and prescribing treatments
- Ordering and assessing diagnostic and laboratory tests
- Managing care for patients with tachy-arrhythmias, bradycardia, conduction disorders and cardiac devices
She joined Orlando Health in 2011 and is a former registered dietitian. Lauren strives to empower patients by providing a full array of medical, lifestyle and dietary management options for their cardiac conditions, including preventive steps that can be taken.
Lauren’s Training
She earned her bachelor’s degree in food science and human nutrition, dietetics concentration, from the University of Florida in Gainesville, graduating cum laude. She received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Rush University in Chicago.
About Lauren
Lauren has provided leadership to colleagues by collaborating in group discussions about patient care, training new hires on proper procedure and ensuring accreditation standards are met.
She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and her professional memberships include the American Academy of Physician Assistants and American College of Cardiology.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys tennis, taking walks, and spending time with her family and pets.
