Dr. Lekhraj Patel is a board-certified and fellowship-trained neurologist with the Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute. Since the 1990s, Dr. Patel has been providing care to patients with conditions affecting the spinal cord and brain as well as the peripheral nerves and muscles. Those conditions include:
- Stroke
- Memory disorders
- Headaches
- Neuromuscular disorders
- Epilepsy
- Meningitis
- Parkinson’s disease
- Multiple sclerosis
He strives to provide the best treatment possible so his patients can become symptom-free and have an improved quality of life.
Dr. Patel’s Training
Dr. Patel completed his medical training at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in Gujarat, India. He completed an internal medicine residency at Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He finished another residency in adult neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and a clinical stroke fellowship at the same hospital.
About Dr. Patel
Dr. Patel is certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a member of The Stroke Council and American Academy of Neurology and is licensed to practice medicine in 17 states. He has been attending the International Stroke Conference annually since 2000.
Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling, watching movies, playing tennis and exercising. He is fluent in English and Hindi.
