Bio
Leslie Ruiz is a licensed neuropsychologist with the Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute with expertise in:
- Bilingual neuropsychological testing and assessment
- Pre-operative standardized assessments
- Dementia
- Movement disorders
She strives to treat every patient like family.
Dr. Ruiz’s Training
Dr. Ruiz received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida International University in Miami. She earned her Master of Science (MS) in clinical psychology from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, and her doctor of psychology (PsyD) in clinical psychology from Albizu University in Doral, Florida. Dr. Ruiz completed a one-year adult track internship at NYU Langone Health Rusk Rehabilitation and a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in adult neuropsychology at AdventHealth in Orlando.
About Dr. Ruiz
Dr. Ruiz’s professional memberships include the American Psychological Association and the Hispanic Neuropsychology Society. She has volunteered for the Miami Rescue Mission and for events supporting St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Outside of work, Dr. Ruiz enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, hiking, listening to podcasts and going to the beach.
She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
