Bio
Dr. Ly Tran is a fellowship-trained non-invasive cardiologist with the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. She diagnoses and treats disorders of the heart and blood vessels, and her expertise includes:
- Coronary artery disease
- Myocardial infarction
- Hyperlipidemia
- Echocardiography
- Nuclear stress testing
- Electrocardiogram readings
- Congestive heart failure
- Cardiomyopathies
- Valvular heart disease
- Preventive cardiology
- Hypertension
Dr. Tran believes that understanding her patients’ social, mental and physical well-being enables her to provide the best possible care.
Dr. Tran’s Training
Dr. Tran received her bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology from the University of Georgia in Athens and earned her degree in osteopathic medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Georgia. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge in Morganton, North Carolina, where she was chief resident in her final year. Her fellowship in cardiovascular medicine was completed at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, Florida.
About Dr. Tran
Dr. Tran is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, and the National Board of Echocardiology. Her professional memberships include the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. Her research has been published and presented at national conferences.
Outside of work, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with family, traveling and caring for her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is fluent in English and Vietnamese.
