Bio
Dr. Firas Sioufi is a neurologist with the Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute with an emphasis on clinical neurophysiology. His specialties include:
- Clinical neurophysiology
- Sleep disorders, including insomnia, sleep apnea and epilepsy
- Neuromuscular diseases
- Stroke management and care
- Neurohospitalist medicine
He has cared for patients in Central Florida since 2010.
Dr. Sioufi’s Training
Dr. Sioufi earned his bachelor’s degree in biology and received his medical training from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He completed a residency in neurology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania, where he served as chief resident in his final year. Dr. Sioufi completed an internal medicine residency at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. His fellowship in clinical neurophysiology and sleep was at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Sioufi also completed a physician leadership mini-MBA program with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the Katz School of Business.
About Dr. Sioufi
Dr. Sioufi is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology, American Board of Sleep Medicine, American Board of Neuromuscular Diseases, and American Board of Headache. He is also certified in principles of wound healing and hyperbaric medicine with the National Healing Institute.
His professional memberships include the American Academy of Neurology, American Academy of Sleep Medicine and American Epilepsy Society.
Dr. Sioufi serves as an assistant professor of neurology at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando. He previously was a clinical assistant professor in the neurology department at the University of Pittsburgh.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
