Dr. Makoto Ogawa is a diagnostic radiologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Radiology. He cares for patients who need interpretation of their nuclear imaging, which is used to examine organ function and structure.

He specializes in body and emergency imaging. Dr. Ogawa strives to deliver excellent patient care through proper imaging diagnosis and clear communication with patient providers.

Dr. Ogawa’s Training

Dr. Ogawa earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and cellular biology at the University of California San Diego in La Jolla, California, and a master’s degree in applied anatomy at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He received his medical and surgical training at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. Dr. Ogawa completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai West in New York, where he served as chief resident in his final year. He completed a fellowship in body imaging at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.

Dr. Ogawa has presented his research at national conferences and been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals with research interests in body and emergency imaging.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his three young children, cartooning, judo and basketball.
