Dr. Mark Stuart is a board-certified cardiologist with the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. His clinical interests revolve around noninvasive cardiology and cardiac risk factor modification. He joins Orlando Health with more than 23 years of experience and specializes in:

  • Noninvasive general cardiology services including consultations and management of cardiovascular pathologies, both inpatient and outpatient
  • Cardiovascular noninvasive study interpretations including EKG, echocardiography, cardiac nuclear imaging and rhythm evaluation including heart rhythm monitors

Dr. Stuart knew from a young age that medicine was his calling, and he derives personal satisfaction from listening deeply to patients and helping them improve their quality of life.

Dr. Stuart’s Training

Dr. Stuart received his medical training at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. He completed both his internal medicine residency – he was chief resident his final year – ­and his fellowship in cardiology at what is now McLaren Oakland in Pontiac, Michigan, through the Statewide Campus System at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

About Dr. Stuart

He is a fellow of both the American College of Osteopathic Internists and the American College of Cardiology. He is board certified in nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and cardiology. Dr. Stuart is certified in vascular interpretation as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) and has experience in cardiac computed tomography angiography, also known as CTA.

Dr. Stuart has trained medical students, residents and cardiology fellows at Michigan State. He served for a decade as director of the Cardiology Fellow Training Consortium through the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

His professional memberships include the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Cardiology, American College of Osteopathic Internists, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography, Michigan Osteopathic Association, Florida Osteopathic Medical Association and Society for Vascular Ultrasound.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, attending concerts and sporting events, and exercising.
