Dr. Mary Beth Miller is a board-certified family medicine physician with Orlando Health Medical Group FHV Health. She cares for patients from adolescence through adulthood and is skilled in providing preventive measures such as health screenings and patient education, as well as management of complex and chronic conditions.
Dr. Miller has more than 20 years of experience and believes preventive care and patient education are the foundation of any treatment plan. She encourages a team approach to healthcare decisions. Her favorite patient population is geriatric.
Dr. Miller’s Training
Dr. Miller earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas in Kansas City and completed her family medicine residency at Smoky Hill Family Medicine in Salina, Kansas.
About Dr. Miller
She joins Orlando Health after serving as a family medicine physician for 16 years in rural western Kansas, where she provided hospital and nursing home care, covered the ER and two clinics, and worked as the coroner for the county. She then moved to Southern California, where she practiced outpatient family medicine for nine years. While there, she served as medical director of the Miracle of Living committee. Dr. Miller’s background also includes roles as a clinical assistant professor with the University of Kansas School of Medicine and school board member.
She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She is the former president of the Kansas Academy of Family Physicians.
Outside of work, Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with her husband, with whom she shares an affinity for running, going to Disney theme parks, and following the University of Kansas football and men’s basketball programs. Her perfect afternoon would be spent strolling through a science or history museum. She and her husband have three children in California, whom they see as often as schedules allow. They feel they have found their “forever” home in Florida.
