Dr. Miller’s Training
Dr. Miller earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas in Kansas City and completed her family medicine residency at Smoky Hill Family Medicine in Salina, Kansas.
About Dr. Miller
She joins Orlando Health after serving as a family medicine physician for 16 years in rural western Kansas, where she provided hospital and nursing home care, covered the ER and two clinics, and worked as the coroner for the county. She then moved to Southern California, where she practiced outpatient family medicine for nine years. While there, she served as medical director of the Miracle of Living committee. Dr. Miller’s background also includes roles as a clinical assistant professor with the University of Kansas School of Medicine and school board member.
She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She is the former president of the Kansas Academy of Family Physicians.
Outside of work, Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with her husband, with whom she shares an affinity for running, going to Disney theme parks, and following the University of Kansas football and men’s basketball programs. Her perfect afternoon would be spent strolling through a science or history museum. She and her husband have three children in California, whom they see as often as schedules allow. They feel they have found their “forever” home in Florida.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
