Bio
Dr. Mathew Thomas is a board-certified internal medicine physician with Orlando Health Physician Associates. He specializes in adult care, and his services include:
- Conducting clinical assessments
- Working with patients to create and implement treatment goals and objectives
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic and therapeutic tests
- Medication management
Dr. Thomas believes that understanding his patients’ social, mental and physical well-being enables him to provide the best possible care.
Dr. Thomas’ Training
Dr. Thomas received his bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. He obtained a certificate in biomedical sciences from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Georgia, where he also earned his degree in osteopathic medicine. Dr. Thomas completed his residency in internal medicine at Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge in Morganton, North Carolina.

He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Thomas served on the clinical teaching faculty at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital and worked with medical residents and medical students during their hospital rotations.
He has presented his research at national conferences regarding the treatment and management of infections, lung and heart disease.
Outside of work, Dr. Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, cooking, working on automobiles and learning to play golf.
