Dr. Maxim Anthony Olivier is a board-certified cardiologist with the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. He specializes in treating conditions that affect the heart and blood vessels, such as:
- Heart attacks
- Coronary artery disease
- High blood pressure
- Arrhythmias
- Stroke
Cardiologists also educate patients on lifestyle changes they can make to improve their heart health and reduce the risk of complications in the future.
Dr. Olivier’s Training
Dr. Olivier received his medical degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee, which is also where he earned his Master of Science in biomedical science. He then completed an internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at Orlando Health.
About Dr. Olivier
Dr. Olivier is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, the National Board of Echocardiography and the Certifications Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. He is also a member of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology and the Association of Black Cardiologists.
He has published and presented on topics including the relationship between physical activity and cardiovascular risk factors in the black community, endocarditis, myocardial infarction complications and novel cardiovascular imaging techniques.
Dr. Olivier has completed medical mission trips in Jamaica, Ghana and Haiti. He is fluent in English and Haitian-Creole.
