Michael F. D’Angelo, MD, is a urologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Urology and board certified by the American Urological Society. He treats conditions affecting men and women’s urinary tract and reproductive systems such as bladder issues, kidney stones, incontinence and more. He is experienced in advanced robotic and laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. D’Angelo’s practice has been designated as a UroLift® Center of Excellence. UroLift® is a minimally invasive treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition affecting more than 500 million men worldwide. He and his team have been specially trained to perform this advanced procedure.
After completing a bachelor’s degree in biology, graduating summa cum laude, Dr. D’Angelo earned his medical degree, graduating cum laude, from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his residency in urology at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Rochester, Minnesota.
In addition to designing and consulting on the design of a laparoscopic renal clamp and catheter, Dr. D’Angelo has dedicated time to international medical causes, leading two medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic with the Institute for Latin American Concern.
Dr. D’Angelo is a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and American Urological Society. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
