Bio
Michael F. D’Angelo, MD, is a board-certified urologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Urology and designated as a UroLift® Center of Excellence. Also experienced in advanced robotic and laparoscopic surgery, he treats diseases and conditions affecting the male and female urinary tract and reproductive systems.
Urological Expertise
Dr. D’Angelo has extensive, specialized training in use of the UroLift® System, a minimally invasive treatment for an enlarged prostate, a prostatic urethral lift. He has been designated as a Center of Excellence, a recognition awarded to only to a small number of highly qualified urologists who achieve the best results for their patients with the UroLift® procedure.
In addition to prostatic urethral lift, Dr. D’Angelo offers many other procedures to address men and women’s urological conditions. A few of these include:
- Neuromodulation and Botox®
- Robotic surgery
- Low testosterone
- Erectile dysfunction
- Penile implant surgery
- Overactive bladder
- Prostate cancer screening
Dr. D’Angelo’s Training
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in biology, graduating summa cum laude, from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. D’Angelo remained at the university to earn his medical degree, graduating cum laude. Then with a residency in urology, he completed his postdoctoral training at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Rochester, Minnesota.
About Dr. D’Angelo
Dr. D’Angelo consulted on the design of a laparoscopic renal clamp and catheter and dedicates time to international medical causes. Previously, he led two medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic with the Institute for Latin American Concern.
Additionally, he is certified by the American Urological Society, a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and American Urological Society, and fluent in both English and Spanish.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
