Dr. Michael Ruisi is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with Orlando Health Medical Group FHV Health. He treats a variety of conditions related to the heart and blood vessels, and his expertise includes:
- Laser atherectomy coronary therapy
- Balloon angioplasty
- Cardiac catheterization
- Complex coronary interventions
- Minimally invasive complex transcatheter aortic valve replacements
- Vascular interpretation
- Nuclear cardiology

Dr. Ruisi’s Training
Dr. Ruisi earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, and received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla. He completed his internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Medical Center-University Hospital and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center, both in New York.
About Dr. Ruisi
Dr. Ruisi is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, in nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology and in adult comprehensive echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography. He also is certified as a registered physician in vascular interpretation.
His professional memberships include the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians and Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
Dr. Ruisi’s research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals, and he wrote a textbook chapter about heart failure.
