Bio
Dr. Mitali Agarwal is a board-certified gastroenterologist at the Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease who specializes in inflammatory bowel disease. Her services include:
- Crohn’s disease
- Ulcerative colitis
- Microscopic colitis
- Check-point inhibitor colitis
- General gastrointestinal diseases
Dr. Agarwal believes it is important to connect with her patients and treats them with the utmost care, concern, compassion and respect, just as she would her own family.
Dr. Agarwal’s Training
Dr. Agarwal earned her medical degree at the Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee and completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. She completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Illinois in Chicago and in advanced inflammatory bowel disease at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.
About Dr. Agarwal
Her clinical interests are in treating patients with inflammatory bowel disease, and her research interests are outcomes of ileal pouch-anal anastomosis. She is a recipient of The Gold Humanism Award, which exemplifies physicians who demonstrate compassionate patient care.
Dr. Agarwal is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has presented her research findings at national conferences, and her work has appeared in peer-reviewed publications.
Outside of work, Dr. Agarwal enjoys spending time with her family, reading, swimming and gardening.
