Bio
Naomi Alfonso is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), certified pediatric nurse practitioner (CPNP) and pediatric primary care mental health specialist (PMHS) with the Behavioral Health and Development Center at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. She provides diagnosis and intervention services for young patients with:
- Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Autism
- Learning disabilities
- Developmental delays
- Behavioral and emotional challenges
- Genetic disorders
- Trauma
She began caring for individuals in Central Florida in 2008 and has served as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner in a variety of roles including pediatric critical care and pediatric neurology.
Naomi strives to develop a trusting relationship with her young patients and their families. She uses her experience of having pediatric family members with chronic medical conditions and neurodevelopmental disabilities to relate to her patients. Naomi also has experience working with adoptive and foster families.
Naomi’s Training
Naomi received her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Central Florida in Orlando and earned her Master of Science in nursing (MSN) in the pediatric nurse practitioner program at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
About Naomi
She is certified as a pediatric primary care mental health specialist and pediatric nurse practitioner-primary care by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and is licensed as an APRN and registered nurse in Florida. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and has completed training in trust-based relational intervention.
Outside of work, Naomi enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering, cooking and outdoor activities.

Why do some Orlando Health physicians not have a patient experience rating?
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
