Dr. Nauman S. Chaudhry is a neurosurgeon at the Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute. He treats the entire spectrum of spinal pathology and sees patients of all age groups from adolescents to the elderly, and his expertise includes:

  • Cervical spine surgery
  • Spinal deformity and scoliosis

Dr. Chaudhry believes in finding the least aggressive options to help his patients reach their health goals and regain their lifestyles. He strives to avoid surgery whenever possible. Dr. Chaudhry has a comprehensive background in the latest open, minimally invasive and robotic spine surgery techniques to provide the most durable surgical option that is best tailored for each patient. He discusses the patient's symptoms, radiographic findings, spinal alignment and health goals. Dr. Chaudhry takes as much time as needed to listen to his patients' concerns so that, together, they can create a personalized healthcare plan.

Dr. Chaudhry’s Training

Dr. Chaudhry earned his bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and his medical degree at the University of Miami in Florida, graduating with honors. He completed a neurological surgery residency and an enfolded spine fellowship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, where he served as chief resident. He also completed a post-graduate fellowship in spinal deformity and complex minimally invasive spine surgery at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

About Dr. Chaudhry

Dr. Chaudhry’s professional memberships include the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Scoliosis Research Society, North American Spine Society and Southern Neurosurgical Society.

Dr. Chaudhry’s expertise is evident in his numerous peer-reviewed publications, presentations at national meetings and memberships in neurosurgical societies. His research interests include spinal cord injuries and long-term patient outcomes.

Outside of work, he enjoys basketball, surfing, trying new restaurants and spending time with his family.

Dr. Chaudhry is fluent in English and Urdu.
