Dr. Naziya Tahseen is a board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatric endocrinologist with Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Endocrinology and Diabetes Center. She cares for young patients with:

  • Diabetes mellitus type 1 and 2
  • Abnormal weight gain/insulin resistance
  • Adrenal abnormalities
  • Delayed or advanced pubertal development
  • Hyperandrogenism/polycystic ovary syndrome
  • Pituitary abnormalities
  • Short stature/growth failure
  • Thyroid abnormalities
  • Bone strength and density
  • Calcium regulation disorders
  • Endocrine disorders in children treated for various cancers
  • Endocrine disorders in children with genetic conditions such as Turner Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome, 22q11.2 deletion syndrome

Dr. Tahseen has special interest in medical education, ethics and clinical research. She believes children are unique and should be treated with a family-centered approach as a source of strength and support. Integration of the family's perspective into clinical decision-making helps support a holistic approach to treatment.

Dr. Tahseen’s Training

Dr. Tahseen received her medical training at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute in India. She earned her medical degree and completed a pediatrics residency at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She completed a pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in Kansas City, Missouri.

About Dr. Tahseen

Dr. Tahseen is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Pediatrics Endocrine Society and Pediatric Endocrine Society.

She has extensive clinical experience and previously developed the pediatric endocrinology outreach program and was a consultant in Kansas. Dr. Tahseen has mentored medical students from the Kansas University School of Medicine during their elective rotations.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, going on long walks and traveling. Dr. Tahseen is fluent in English, Hindi and Urdu.
