Bio
Patrick Houde is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) with Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute Neurosurgery. He provides a full range of neurosurgical services, evaluating and treating patients in the following areas:
- Spinal and cranial trauma
- Degenerative spinal conditions
- Cranial tumors/masses
- Cerebral aneurysms
- Other vascular pathologies affecting the brain
Patrick has more than 25 years of medical experience, including serving as a physician assistant, primary care provider and medic in the U.S. Air Force. He joined Orlando Health in 2015 as a physician assistant and strives to treat all patients like family.
Patrick’s Training
Patrick received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He also earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in the Tri-service Physician Assistant Program at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, a program affiliated with the University of Nebraska. Patrick earned his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and completed a fellowship in general orthopedics at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio.
About Patrick
He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed as a PA in Florida. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Society of Air Force Physician Assistants.
Outside of work, Patrick enjoys exercising, golf and playing guitar.

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
