Dr. Prakash Goutham is a board-certified clinical cardiac electrophysiologist with the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. His areas of expertise include:

Dr. Goutham’s Training

Dr. Goutham received his medical training from Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, followed by fellowships in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology and cardiovascular medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson and in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

About Dr. Goutham

Dr. Goutham is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular medicine, advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He is board-certified in echocardiography and is a diplomate of the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His professional memberships include the American College of Cardiology, Heart Rhythm Society, American Heart Association and Heart Failure Society of America.

Dr. Goutham has presented and published research on topics such as heart transplants, cardiac arrest and arrhythmias. He has been appointed to several academic faculty positions, including assistant professor of clinical medicine and program director of the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship program at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville.

Outside of work, Dr. Goutham enjoys playing and watching cricket, Indian music, traveling and spending time with family. He is fluent in English and Hindi.
