Dr. Punita Kaveti is a board-certified cardiologist at the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. Her interests include valvular heart disease diagnosis, management of cardiovascular diseases, noninvasive cardiac imaging, cardiac disorders in pregnancy and preventive cardiology.
With more than five years of experience, she is skilled in:
- Diagnosing and treating cardiovascular patients
- Educating about prevention of heart disease
- Supervising and interpreting nuclear stress testing
- Performing diagnostic cardiac catheterizations
- Assessing complex structural heart disease
Dr. Kaveti’s Training
Dr. Kaveti received her medical training at Osmania Medical College in India. Her medical education continued with a residency in internal medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, followed by a cardiology fellowship at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and an advanced cardiac imaging fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.

A fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, Dr. Kaveti is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She also is board certified in nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular computed tomography, cardiovascular MRI, and echocardiography.
Dr. Kaveti has presented at medical meetings and her work has appeared in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Outside of work, Dr. Kaveti likes to paint and travel.
