Dr. Mueller is Board Certified by both the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the American Board of Surgery. She received her medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where she also completed a general surgery residency. Dr. Mueller completed her fellowship in Colon & Rectal Surgery through Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. She is a an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Central Florida, School of Medicine, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Florida State University, College of Medicine and University of South Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Mueller is a consultant surgeon of the Colon & Rectal Specialty for Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center and Florida Hospital Cancer Institute.
Dr. Mueller specializes in laparoscopic-assisted colon surgery for benign and malignant disease, anal physiology testing for chronic constipation, and fecal incontinence. She also specializes in anal rectal ultrasound, sphincter saving techniques for rectal cancer and surgery for inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. Mueller is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
