Bio
Dr. Reza Tanveer is a physician with the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. He specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, known as physiatry, and electrodiagnosis, which is used to evaluate conditions related to nerve or muscle function. His areas of expertise include:
- Nerve conduction studies and electromyography
- Osteoarthritis care
- Myofascial pain
- Chronic joint and tendon pain
- Cervical dystonia
- Spasticity
- Ultrasound guided joint/tendon/muscle injections
- Botulinum toxin injections (non-cosmetic)
- Migraine and occipital nerve blocks
- Peripheral neuropathy treatments
In addition to electrodiagnostics, Dr. Tanveer provides comprehensive care for chronic joint and tendon pain using ultrasound guided procedures and formulating rehabilitation plans for his patients. He prioritizes holistic patient care, patient education, preventive measures and personalized treatments to enhance healing and well-being.
Dr. Tanveer’s Training
Dr. Tanveer received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Loyola University in Chicago, graduating magna cum laude. He earned his degree in osteopathic medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. Dr. Tanveer completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, where he served as chief resident his final year.
About Dr. Tanveer
Dr. Tanveer is licensed as an osteopathic physician in Florida. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Association of Academic Physiatrists and Florida Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
He has volunteered his time to care for low-income patients with musculoskeletal issues and for high school athletes in need of sports physicals and sideline coverage during games.
