Dr. Richard Gray is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. With 40 years of experience, his specialties include:
- Arthroscopic surgery
- Surgery on the hand, elbow and everything in between
Dr. Gray’s Training
Dr. Gray earned his bachelor’s and medical degrees at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his residency in general and orthopedic surgery at the University of California in San Francisco and a fellowship in hand rehabilitation at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
About Dr. Gray
Dr. Gray is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Florida Medical Association and Hillsborough County Medical Association.
He was named a Top Doctor by Tampa Magazine in 2022 and 2023. Dr. Gray serves as a medical consultant for the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team.
He is committed to volunteering at community events and with Operation Rainbow, where he has donated his skills to orthopedic surgeries for those in need in developing countries. Dr. Gray also supports projects that advance medical research, conservation and the arts.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, backpacking, hiking, skiing, home improvement projects and listening to blues music.
