Bio
Rodolfo A. Torres, Jr., MD, FAAFP, is a board-certified family physician with Orlando Health Physician Associates. He provides preventative and health maintenance care to his patients with a focus on chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and COPD. He also specializes in wound care.
Dr. Torres earned his medical degree from PMC College of Medicine in Manila, Philippines, and his bachelor of science degree in medical technology from the University of Santo Tomas, also in Manila.
Dr. Torres completed his residency in family medicine at the Hennepin County Medical Center, an affiliate of University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also completed a medical externship at Bayonne Hospital in Bayonne, New Jersey.
Dr. Torres is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP) and board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He has received the American Medical Association’s Physician’s Recognition Award annually for nearly 20 years.
Dr. Torres serves as a clinical associate professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, and Florida Academy of Family Physicians.
