Bio
Dr. Roger Moccia is a board-certified vascular surgeon with Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. He has more than 18 years of experience diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions affecting the arteries and veins, and his specialties include:
- Aortic disease
- Carotid disease
- Peripheral artery disease
Dr. Moccia believes in quality, efficiency and trust in his approach to patient care.
Dr. Moccia’s Training
Dr. Moccia earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering chemistry at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and received his medical training from St. George's University in Grenada. He completed his surgical residency and vascular surgery fellowship at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York.
About Dr. Moccia
Dr. Moccia is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is board certified in surgery and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the Society of Vascular Surgeons.
Dr. Moccia has served as vice chairman of a hospital’s surgery department and as medical director of several vascular labs, and his research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, strength training, jogging, tennis, racquetball and fishing. Dr. Moccia is a former karate instructor with a second-degree black belt.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
