Dr. Ryan Smith is a board-certified cardiovascular disease specialist and nuclear cardiologist with Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. He has more than 15 years of experience, and his expertise includes:

Dr. Smith’s Training

He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and received his osteopathic medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford. Dr. Smith completed an internal medicine residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. His training continued with fellowships in integrative medicine at Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine and in cardiovascular disease at Scripps Green Hospital, both in San Diego. He served as chief fellow at Scripps Green.

About Dr. Smith

Dr. Smith is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. His professional memberships include the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography, American College of Phlebology, Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine, American College of Physicians of Internal Medicine and American Osteopathic Association.

Dr. Smith has presented his work at numerous international conferences. He also is an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Florida State University, instructing cardiovascular disease at the Daytona Beach campus.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, watching football, fishing, boating, scuba diving and skiing.
