Bio
Dr. Samantha Margulies is a double board-certified urogynecologist and obstetrician/gynecologist with Orlando Health Women’s Institute Center for Urogynecology. She evaluates, treats and manages disorders of the female pelvic floor, and her expertise includes:
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Urinary incontinence
- Recurrent urinary tract infections
- Urinary retention
- Vesicovaginal and rectovaginal fistula repairs
- Vaginal cysts and urethral diverticula
- Vaginal atrophy and genitourinary syndrome of menopause
- Vaginal reconstructive surgeries
- Interstitial cystitis
- Fecal incontinence
- Robotic, laparoscopic and vaginal surgeries
- Sacral neuromodulation
- Urodynamics
Dr. Margulies strives to provide excellent comprehensive care in a welcoming and judgment-free environment. She believes in shared decision-making to develop treatment plans with her patients that best improve their lives.
Dr. Margulies’ Training
Dr. Margulies graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biology from St. Bonaventure University in New York and received her medical degree with distinction from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Her volunteer work during medical school was recognized with the George Washington Award and the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Dr. Margulies completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut, where she served as administrative chief resident, and a female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She received the Golden Tar Heel Award for dedication to medical student teaching.
About Dr. Margulies
Dr. Margulies is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is a diplomate of and board certified in obstetrics and gynecology as well as urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Her professional memberships include the American Urogynecologic Society and American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her work has appeared in numerous peer-reviewed publications, and she has presented her research at national and international conferences.
Outside of work, Dr. Margulies enjoys spending time with family, playing with her dog, tending to her plants, pickleball and traveling.

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
