Samar Abdel-Jabbar, MD, is a fellowship-trained child and adolescent psychiatrist with Orlando Health Medical Group Behavioral Health. She provides care for patients experiencing mental health issues resulting from physical, developmental, social, behavioral or family issues.

Dr. Abdel-Jabbar’s Training
Dr. Abdel-Jabbar earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados followed by a residency in general adult psychiatry at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Currently board eligible for adult, child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr. Abdel-Jabbar’s professional affiliations include the Florida Psychiatric Society, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and American Psychiatric Association.
She has often been recognized for her patient care and leadership. While at the University of Florida (UF), she was nominated and selected from the child and adolescent psychiatry department by the UF Chapman Chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society for providing compassionate patient care and serving as a role model, mentor and leader in medicine.
