Bio
Samme Imondi is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse (APRN-BC) with the bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy program at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. He specializes in hematology and oncology, and his areas of expertise include:
- Bone marrow transplants (autologous, allogeneic, cord blood and haploidentical)
- Bispecific antibodies
- CAR-T cell therapy
- Acute leukemia / myelodysplastic syndrome treatment
- Cellular therapy lab (on-site collection facility and cell manipulation)
- Extracorporeal photopheresis for the treatment of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, graft versus host disease and lung transplant rejection
- Clinical Trials
Samme credits the pursuit of his healthcare career to his experience during his mother's hospitalization and decline from illness. He finds most rewarding the connection he can make with a patient on an emotional, personal and sometimes spiritual level.
Samme’s Training
Samme earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Northeastern University in Boston and a bachelor's degree in political science and international studies from St. Leo University in St. Leo, Florida. He received his master's degree in nursing from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
About Samme
Samme is board certified as an adult gerontology nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Oncology Nursing Society.
Outside of work, Samme enjoys playing the guitar, exercising, fine dining, and attending concerts and movies.
