Bio
Dr. Sandy Bui is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with Orlando Health Physician Associates. She is experienced in hysteroscopy and laparoscopic surgery, and her skills also include:
- Family planning
- Preconceptual care
- Prenatal care
- Abnormal menstruation
- Cancer prevention
- Community health
Before joining Orlando Health, Dr. Bui served in a variety of healthcare roles in inpatient and outpatient facilities. She has been an assistant chief of obstetrics and gynecology, a medical director of a Title X family planning program for underserved communities, a clinical instructor, attending physician and medical technologist.
Dr. Bui believes that understanding her patients’ social, mental and physical well-being enables her to provide the best possible care. She values a strong patient-physician relationship based on trust, respect and informed decision-making.
Dr. Bui’s Training
Dr. Bui earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University's College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, New York. She was chief resident her final year.
She received her master’s in biotechnology and bachelor’s in biochemistry and molecular biology at Boston University, graduating cum laude from both programs.
About Dr. Bui
Dr. Bui’s healthcare perspective has been shaped by her experience working at a large community health center, treating women from diverse backgrounds.
She is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Her professional memberships include the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Sigma Sigma Phi, the national osteopathic medicine honors fraternity.
Outside of work, Dr. Bui enjoys reading, art, home DIY projects and family time with her children. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Spanish.
