Sarah Atkins is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. She specializes in treating oncology and hematology patients and has practiced in Central Florida since 2006. Sarah has extensive experience with:
Sarah received her Master of Science in oncology nursing from the University of South Florida in Tampa and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Sarah is a certified advanced oncology nurse practitioner. She also is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association. In her previous role, Sarah served as preceptor to newly hired APRNs and students. Sarah is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology, and she has spoken to professional organizations about chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
