Bio
Dr. Sean McFadden is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. With 29 years of experience, he specializes in knee and shoulder care, joint replacement and sports medicine. His expertise includes:
- Knee and shoulder reconstruction
- Knee and shoulder ligament reconstruction
- Cartilage restoration
- Total shoulder arthroplasty
- Robotic-assisted total knee arthroplasty
Dr. McFadden’s Training
Dr. McFadden earned a bachelor's degree in biology at Albion College in Michigan and his medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing. He completed an orthopedics residency at Mount Clemens General Hospital in Michigan and the Jewett Knee and Sports Medicine Fellowship.
About Dr. McFadden
Dr. McFadden is certified by the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics and the American Board of Osteopathic Orthopedic Surgery. He has additional training and certification in performing robotic assisted surgery. His professional memberships include the Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Osteopathic Association of Orthopedic Surgeons and American Osteopathic Association.
Dr. McFadden is one of the team physicians for Orlando City Soccer. He previously served as medical director for the Olympic marathon trials in Orlando, a team physician for the Orlando Magic and Bishop Moore High School, and an orthopedic consultant for the Houston Astros.
An athlete himself, Dr. McFadden has competed in 15 half ironman events and many Olympic distance running events. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
