His training in advanced surgical techniques enables him to provide the latest treatments to his patients and achieve the best outcomes possible.
Shoulder Expert
The shoulder is an extraordinary joint that requires a knowledgeable shoulder expert when something goes wrong. Non-surgical treatment may be an option for some, while other patients may benefit from arthroscopic and minimally invasive shoulder surgery to restore their health and stability. Common, treatable shoulder conditions include:
- Bursitis
- Dislocations
- Fractures
- Osteoarthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Rotator cuff tears
Joint Replacement
Patients who suffer from arthritis, severe fractures or failed joint replacement surgery may find relief and healing through Dr. McFadden’s skill and experience. After thorough evaluation of the patient’s condition, he reviews options with his patient to determine if total joint replacement is the best option for a return to health.
Arthroscopic and Reconstructive Surgery
Depending on his patient’s needs and condition, Dr. McFadden may recommend arthroscopic or reconstructive surgery to help with a return to an active, pain-free lifestyle. Details of these surgical options include:
- Arthroscopic surgery is less invasive than traditional surgery and involves inserting tiny surgical instruments through small incisions to repair or remove damaged areas of the hip or knee. Usually this results in less pain and faster healing.
- Reconstructive surgery is often an effective treatment for repairing damaged joints and restoring function for patients suffering from severe forms of arthritis and experiencing pain, joint deformity and mobility issues.
Mako® Robotic Arm Assisted Surgery
For patients suffering with debilitating knee pain, partial knee resurfacing may be the recommended procedure. Dr. McFadden uses Mako® Robotic Arm Assisted Surgery, a precise, breakthrough solution, which enables him to treat patient-specific knee conditions to eliminate pain and return patients to wellness.
