Bio
Dr. Seth Cooper is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute specializing in hip and knee replacement and orthopedic trauma. His expertise also includes:
- General orthopedic surgery
- Hip and knee replacement
- Fractures of upper and lower extremities
- Fractures of the pelvis and hip socket
- Fractures that heal in inappropriate positions
- Fractures that do not heal completely
Dr. Cooper believes in treating his patients like family. He tailors the options to what is best for each individual patient to reach their desired outcome.
Dr. Cooper’s Training
Dr. Cooper earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at Washington University in St. Louis and received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He completed his orthopedic surgery and sports medicine residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he served as chief resident in his final year, and his orthopedic surgery and trauma fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Cooper is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and he is board certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, exercising and traveling.

Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
