Bio
Dr. Shahbaaz Shaikh is a board-certified cardiologist with Orlando Health Medical Group Cardiology. His specialties include:
- Echocardiography
- Nuclear stress tests
- Vascular studies

- General cardiology
Dr. Shaikh believes in combining evidence-based medicine with individualized treatment. He looks to treat all patients with empathy, respect and a commitment to improving quality of life.
Dr. Shaikh’s Training
Dr. Shaikh earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology at the University of Florida in Gainesville and received his medical training from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada. He completed his internal medicine residency at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, where he served as chief resident in his final year, and also completed his cardiovascular disease fellowship.
About Dr. Shaikh
Dr. Shaikh is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a diplomate of the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and his professional memberships include the American College of Physicians and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
Outside of work, Dr. Shaikh enjoys spending time with family, reading and visiting the Disney theme parks.

Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
